p.1 #1 · Early morning views of the Palouse
These images were taken this morning from Steptoe Butte near Colfax, Washington. This was my first visit to the area this year. I had never seen fog in the valley so this was a very different look for me. I hope you enjoy this series as much as I did as I tried to capture the Palouse landscape in a different way. Your comments are always appreciated.
What a neat set of image Gary! The first three with the fog and sights I've never seen before and they're wonderful. I really like the lighting and comp on the last one. Randy

Wow... the fog images are stunning! They remind me of Toscana - similar rolling hills with regular early morning fog. Excellent work, Gary!

Hey Gary,
Sweet! That fog is awesome. My favorites are the first 3 also, with #3 being my absolute favorite.

1 and 3 are just ridiculous. Once in a lifetime sort of conditions, I'm jealous.

what bryan said. 3 is outstanding...1 is a close 2nd but the powerlines...i'm not sure about. Do yourself a favor and print 3 20x30 on canvas. then just stare. bah...so killer...

An exquisite set of images. Congratulations on finding such dynamite conditions. You did an excellent job of taking advantage of them. The first one just magic.

Hi Dave,
Glad these images worked for you. You and Tim should have a great time next month. Everything is really late this year in coming up because of the cold winter. Should see some great vistas of the Palouse in all its glory when you visit.
I will be returning again in a couple of weeks and hope to get a different look. By he way, fog cannot be promised. As I have shot there many times over the last few years, I have never been treated to that view.
Good luck,
Gary

Hi Ute,
Fog is always such a treat especially when it occurs in nice landscapes. Thanks for viewing and your comments.
